This is probably one of my favorite deserts. My mom used to make it when I was a child, and even though it's very simple, it's so yummy that it marked my childhood!!
Condensed Milk Trifle
- 2
cans of condensed milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 4 egg whites, beaten with 1 cup of sugar (until stiff peaks form)
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- Ladyfinger biscuits
- a bowl of chocolate milk
- Mix the condensed milk with the egg yolks and butter on a saucepan, and cook on low/medium heat until a firm consistency is reached (thicker than custard). Remove from heat and pour on a glass plate (like the one on the picture).
- Dip the biscuits in the chocolate milk (don't over soak them), and put them on top of the custard.
- Cover the biscuits with the beaten egg whites. Crush some biscuits and sprinkle on top of the egg whites. Cover with a plastic film and refrigerate.
This is truly delicious and very very easy. Give it a try!!
